Maria D. Davila v. Medline Industries, Inc. and Jose M. Ochoa d/b/a Ochoa's Medical Equipment, Cause No. C-2435-04-C, in the 139th Judicial District Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, Judge "Bobby" Flores presiding. Jaime A. Saenz of the firm representing Ochoa's Medical Equipment, was one of two defense counsel for the two aligned defendants in this lawsuit alleging that the plaintiff's fall during a chair to bed transfer utilizing a Medline walker, cause of a fractured hip, was the result of an alleged defect in the walker. Plaintiff sought monetary damages in the amount of $950,000.00. Trial began on Monday, September 10, 2007 and ended on Thursday September 13, 2007, with a defense verdict.
