Beatrice Medina, Individually and as next friend of Refugio Medina v. Carlos Sanchez, Jr.; Concepcion Sanchez; Richard Lozano; Adan Jose Flores; Ford Motor Company; City of San Benito and San Benito Police Department, Cause No. 2001-08-3741-B,. in the 138th Judicial District Court of Cameron County, Texas Senior Partner Eduardo Roberto Rodriguez and Partner Alison D.Kennamer assisted in the defense of Ford Motor Company in February of 2003. Prior to trial, Plaintiff had settled with or non-suited all other Defendants. The case involved Plaintiffs' allegations that the rear end structure of the 1989 Ford Mustang in which he had been a rear-seat passenger was allegedly inadeuqate. Plaintiff's vehicle had been struck from the rear at approximately 60 mph by Defendant Flores, laster convicted of intoxication assualt, while it and a Camaro, driven by Defendants Sanchez and Lozano, were parked in an exit ramp off US Highway 77 in San Benito, Texas. Shortly before the case was submitted to the jury, Plaintiffs' counsel non-suited all claims except his claims of negligence against Ford. The jury found no negligence on Ford. Based upon the finding of no negligence, the trial court granted a take nothing Judgment to Ford.
