Trial Activity

Francisco Guzman, et al. v. Homero Garcia, as Representative of the Estate of Maria Edna Garcia, Deceased; Eddie Yaklin's Auto World, Inc.; and Ford Motor Company; Cause No. 5,309 in the 49th Judicial District Court of Zapata County, Texas.

Partner Jaime A. Saenz assisted in the defense of Ford Motor Company in this case involving the death of both the driver and her passenger, sisters, in a 1999 Ford F-150 during a single-vehicle rollover. Plaintiffs and Cross-Plaintiffs alleged defects in the vehicle's door latch, glass/glazing materials, and restraints systems. Trial began on March 29, 2004, with jury selection, and continued until April 21, 2004, during jury deliberations, at which time the parties settled for a confidential amount.
