Hector Salinas v. Ford Motor Company, Jesus DeLeon and Santiago Rodriguez, Cause No. C-1271-03-B, in the 93rd Judicial District Court of Hidalgo County, Texas.

Partner Jaime A. Saenz served as co-lead counsel in defense of Ford Motor Company in this case which involved the rollover of a Ford Taurus vehicle and alleged roof crush claims. Plaintiff Hector Salinas was a passenger in the Taurus vehicle. At the time of the accident at issue, the co-Defendant driver lost control of and rolled the vehicle. Mr. Salinas received a C6/C7 cervical subluxation in the accident which led to incomplete quadriplegia, and an avulsed left ear. Plaintiff's counsel non-suited the claims against all other Defendants right before the trial. The trial started on October 18, 2004. The case settled for a confidential amount during the weekend, on October 24, 2004, after counsel for Ford had cross-examined Plaintiff's accident reconstructionist and had successfully withstood a mid-trial motion for sanctions.
