Matthew Gobert and Rhonda Gobert, Individually and as Representatives of the Estate of Dustin Gobert, Deceased; and Ernest Moore and Valerie Moore, Individually and as Representatives of the Estate Of Kimber Moore, Deceased, Plaintiffs; Bill Dean and Dixie Dean, as Guardians of Chance and Sommers Dean, Intervenors vs. Ford Motor Company; Ken Stoepel Ford, Inc.; TRW Vehicle Safety Systems, Inc.; And TRW, Inc., Cause No. C-933-03-F, in the 332nd Judicial District Court, Hidalgo County, Texas Jaime A. Saenz served as one of four counsel representing Ford Motor Company in this case involving the single vehicle rollover of a 2000 Ford Explorer. Plaintiffs were family members of two deceased passengers, Dustin Gobert and Kimber Moore. Intervenors were the guardians of the minor driver, Chance Dean and one additional passenger, Sommers Dean, who brought claims for injuries allegedly suffered in the accident. Plaintiffs and Intervenors made claims regarding the stability, roof structure, and seat belt systems in the vehicle. A jury was chosen on September 26, 2005, during a break in the Oralia Garcia v. Ford trial in Cameron County, and testimony began on October 3, 2005. The case settled after approximately three (3) days of trial for a confidential amount.
