National Union Fire Insurance of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, vs. Puget Plastics Corporation; Puget Plastics Corporation S.A. De C.V.; and Wausau Business Insurance Company, Civil Action No. B-05-050 in United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Brownsville Division; Judge Andrew Hanen presiding. Partner Jaime A. Saenz of the firm acted as co-counsel for National Union in this non-jury trial on insurance coverage issues. National Union claimed that an underlying liability lawsuit was not covered under a policy it had issued. Trial began on June 22, 2009, and concluded on July 1, 2009. On August 14, 2009, the Court issued an opinion granting National Union's request for a declaratory judgment that it had no duty to defend or indemnify. The case is on appeal.
